About the Event
RealFITT Youth weightlifting Programme is an inclusive programme for kids aged 11-16 years. The programme is designed to give the kids the skills and knowledge they need to promote physical activity and participation in sport. The programme is focused around building the physical qualities of strength, flexibility, mobility and power, whilst building the mental skills of a hard work ethic, delayed gratification, social inclusion and social participation. This programme is focused around the sport of olympic weightlifting, but the physical skills the kids will develop are commonly used in strength and conditioning principles when training athletic development for other sports
